AI in Photography

Artificial Intelligence can be a very useful tool when editing or shooting a photo. AI can be used to automatically track the subject and meter the settings of the camera to account for said subject. When using the auto mode on the camera, it can also set the exposure, aperture, f-stop, and lens to perfectly match whatever subject you are trying to photograph.

When editing, AI can also help to automatically enhance the vibrance of the colors, the brightness, zoom, and to upscale the resolution of the photos. Chat engines can also help to give new ideas for shooting new things or heavily editing photos. It can also be used to search through many photos and find the perfect ones by checking each one to see if the subject is in focus or not.

Painting with light

The photo I chose I liked a lot because it looks like something seen in a movie. For example I could envision this in some super hero type of movie / show like as if they flew through the pipe and ended up creating a lot of sparks. I also feel like I have seen a scene like this in a lot of movies and shows. As well as the light coming from the sparks creates a composition filling in the photo and adding texture and like a two thirds affect.

I really enjoy Henri Cartier Bresson’s photos because they show a lot of different emotion and tell a story. Such as the old man I have no clue what’s going on but it gives off a lot emotion into the photos. The bottom one almost seems like it is multiple photos and gives different feelings.

Raw vs JPG

  1. The difference between the files is that RAW files are slightly bigger than JPEG.2. RAW files have higher quality. 3.You need to convert a RAW file into a JPEG because the RAW file holds all the original, unedited image. 4. JPEG images can be transferred quickly from the camera
  2.  RAW files are bigger than JPEG because they contain a larger amount of image data compared to a JPEG
  3. By changing the output format to JPEG from a RAW file
  4. I would shoot the image RAW and then change it to a JPEG after I have edited and made the changes I need to make. So, this can make it easier for me.
